1921 Martin Style C Mandolin Brazilian Rosewood pictured in Gruhn book Abolone.
Mandolin  was purchased from Gruhn guitars in 2001 and is same mandolin pictured on page 95  in the "Acoustic Guitars and Ither Fretted Instruments" .
Mandolin is in excellent condition and has rarely left the case since purchase.
Seral # 9162 dates this to 1921 with only 21 produced that year.
This Style C features abalone pearl top border and soundhole ring.
Mandolin has Brazilian rosewood back and sides in excellent condition.
Top has a few marks with a slight seam split from pickgaurd to bottom . This was how I purchased .
Neck is in excellent condition.
Tuners are in excellent condition.
Will need a new set of strings and maybe setup by your luthier.
Comes with pictured hardshell case.
Mandolin has been  in a smoke and petfree home since purchase  in 2001.
Please review all pictures and ask all questions before buying as i prefer not to except returns due to the rarity of the mandolin.
