  • Condition: Best estimate dated to about the 1930's or 1940's. Strings and tuning machines hold pitch. Neck is in great shape. Stays in tune! Definite wearing in the finish and a crack on the top of the Mandolin.Looks like a new pickguard was installed later in its life. I took as many detailed photographs as possible to get the best idea of this instrument's condition. Definitely a great vintage 4-course mandolin! Includes hard shell case

    Description

Interesting 4-course Vintage Mandolin. From our research, it looks like The Harmony Instrument company made these Mandolins and guitars under the Armstrong name during the 1930's and 40's So that would be my best estimate to how old this instrument is. Probably produced in Chicago, IL.
It definitely has some wear on the finish which comes with age. It also has a crack in the top which can probably be repaired and doesn't seem to affect its sound. The Bridge and tailpiece are in great shape and hold the pitch of the strings along with the tuning machines.
A fairly priced Vintage boutique style instrument. Case included!
