Up for sale is a
Vintage Circa 1916 Gibson A4 Mandolin, Serial #26019,  Kalamazoo Mich, USA with the Matching Clamp (Pat July 4.1911) and Case (I am unsure if this is the original case or not. It features a green felt type lining which is intact).
The mandolin is in good condition for its age and guaranteed to play perfect. The area where the headstock meets the neck had a crack which has been professional repaired. When you rub your thumb over it you can feel where it has been repaired. The mandolin is
structurally sound and at this point the cracks is a cosmetic issue. To the best of our knowledge all of the parts are original. The strings are brand new and the tuning keys have a good action to them. The tuning keys do not have any cracks in them. The mandolin does not have any dead frets and they have good life left to them. The action plays well and the bridge is sound. The binding around the mandolin has a few minor hairline cracks but for its age it's in really good condition. The mandolin does have some typical dings in it. Other then the repaired crack the body, neck and headstock do not have any other cracks or breaks and all parts are secure
Both the case and mandolin do have a mild vintage smell. The clamp seems to work without any issues. The lever on the side will open, close and stay in place without any issues
The case will open and close without any issues. We do not have the key for it. If you need more pictures please let us know
